Sewing Center

Work of Jesus Christ Ministries have a heart to reach widows. We help desperate needy widows with food, wheat, medical, school fees for their children, and other necessities. Work of Jesus Christ Ministries has started a small sewing machine training center so poor widows can come and learn a trade. This center has saved desperate women from falling into prostitution as their only means of survival to feed their starving families. The sewing school has just four machines now, but we are hoping to get some more as soon as God provides. But currently on these four machines, twelve widows are being taught a trade, and after six weeks they will have the potential to get a job. Just the small help of this sewing machine center is already changing the lives of many widows and their families! One widow that went through the school is now sewing clothing for many people, and she has been hired at a store earning commission for her sewing. This new job has given her a new life since she has been able to quit her past job. Her prior job was working from dawn to dusk sweeping the streets, which is considered one of the lowest-paying jobs (making a few cents a day) and never enough to provide for a family. She shares, “This school has totally changed my life because I was desperate to get a better job. You also are paying my children’s school fees, which is giving my children a bright future”.
